Used for several years with no difficulties. Does as advertised. Would buy again if needed.
I'm not a neophyte, but unless one knows exactly what "passive" indicates in this context it is impossible to infer the impotence of the product. FAILURE, Amazon.com. I ordered this device hoping to connect one of my existing PS/2 keyboards to my USB-only laptop. Spending the four dollars isn't the worst - that's reserved for knowing I should've just driven to the corner superstore and bought a new USB keyboard instead of waiting for this to ship.
Windows could not recognize the device on any of them. I tried it using 3 different devices (mice) on 4 different computers--3 desktops and a laptop. It's not that the item is so expensive, but it's the principle. This item does NOT work; don't waste your time and money buying it. I wish I could give it zero stars. Thank goodness for Amazon's return policy.
The adapter was sent to me quickly and works as it is supposed to. I am pleased.
so it will only work with mice n keyboards that are set up to be used with adapters already -- this usually isnt the case with the devices most people will want this for. for success, id stick with the ones that get high marks in the user reviews.good luck. all this thing does is reposition the connection so its compatible with the usb slot on your pc, it does not actively change the signal to make it usb compatible. you guys want to look for converters, not adapters.
